Energising Kiwi + Tea Muesli

Are you needing some breakfast inspiration? You’ve come to the right place. Are you looking for a healthy, energising muesli recipe? Read on!

I know, you’ve seen “tea” in the title and you’re wondering if and why I would put it in my breakfast, and not simply drink a cup of tea and eat normal muesli. Well for one, how boring would that be, to be normal? And two, this isn’t just any tea, it’s Bluebird Teaco Bears Like Marmalade Tea!

By mixing the acidity and sweetness of Kiwi fruit with the hearty, richer flavours of the marmalade tea, we find a beautiful harmony of flavours and sensations on the tongue! Plus, we all know and love marmalade on toast for breakfast, so why not switch it up, keep your favourite breakfast flavour, but try it in a different dish!

Let’s get cooking!

See the creation process from Emmie’s perspective!

Serves: 1
Time: Under 5 minutes
What you will need:

  • ¾ cup Milk.
  • 1 ripe Kiwi.
  • ½ cup Oats.
  • 1 tablespoon Bears Like Marmalade tea.
  • 1 tablespoon Honey.

What to do:

  1. Find a nice small-medium breakfast bowl and pour in your oats. Add in your Milk. If you would prefer less dairy in your breakfast, half the amount of milk and add water to make up the other half. You can also experiment with Almond milk or Coconut milk too!

  2. Find a chopping board, and a sharp knife to cut your fruit. I made my Kiwi look really cute for the pictures, so if you would like to cut yours the same, stay tuned for another blog post on how to cut your fruit perfectly for food photography.
For now, give it a go, OR simply cut your Kiwi into small pieces and throw them in to the bowl.

  3. Sprinkle over the tea and drizzle the honey all over. In the images you see I places my tea in one stripe across the muesli. This was just for presentation and I stirred it through later – you don’t have to eat it like this!

  4. Stir everything together after taking a fun foodie photo of your creation first and tagging @eat.with.emmie on Instagram so I can see how well you did!
